Emily arrived in Fremantle three months after her two children Roland and Janice. She married Robert George Dhue in February 1959 and they produced four more children, Ruth, Milton, Adrian and Spencer. She fulfilled her dream of working with children in many pre-primary centres and volunteered as Librarian in aged care establishments.
