Born in Montreal, Canada. Family moved to UK in mid 1930's. Originally bound for Brisbane as a wartime Fremantle in October 1940. By 1945 he was working, had made new friends and so he stayed, later marrying an Australian girl, Muriel. They had three children. He only returned to Canada and the UK once for a visit in 1980. Passed away February 1981.
