R.R. (Bill) Colegate arrived in Albany aged 16 to attend Narrogin Agricultural School. He farmed grain & sheep on his own property Holmdene at Yandanooka from 1928 until his retirment in 1965. He married Pearl Downes of Dongara in September 1935. Their three sons were all farmers.
