Even though my father & mother had a fantastic life in Burma, my father being Inspector General (Commissioner) of Police & Vice-President (1term) of Interpol, they felt we children would have a much better future in Australia. How right they were!

  • Am I correct in thinking Laura was George's 2nd wife and that he was originally married to Kathleen Ann Clift (nee Reilly) while at University in Rangoon and fathered daughters Joan, Marguerite and Patricia. My mother has her fathers D.O.B as 9 May 1900 rather than 1902 but other than that George's profile matches that of my grandfather perfectly. He separated from my grandmother after about 7 years of marriage. How wonderful to find out where he ended up and that I have relations in Australia ... the wonders of the internet!
