During his first years in WA Bill Clarke worked on farms in Dangin, Nannup and Southern Cross. In 1927 he found employment at Fremantle Harbour before being employed by WA Government Railways. He worked at Northam and Midland and retired in 1959. He married in 1929 and had 2 children.
