We know very little except that Thomas was a Professor of Music with an Academy at 167 Holland Road, Kensington. On coming to Australia with his pregnant partner he used the name Thomas Sidney Moore. My father Douglas was born 16/12/1894, his mother died of nephritis 6 weeks after childbirth.

This man was my great grandfather, and I have been trying to track him down for ages as part of my family history research. He was born in 1855, and married Alice Bertha Mostran in 1878. They had four daughters, including my paternal grandmother Bertha Gabrielle Childerstone. However in 1893 Alice was imprisoned for assaulting two of the children and assaulting Thomas. A divorce followed, and I was unable to find any further records relating to Thomas. The children were farmed out to relatives, whilst Alice became a homeless vagrant, being found dead in a coal cellar near her old home in Kensington on New Year's Eve 1916.
