In 1843 the first two Catholic Priests Brady and Joostens arrived in Albany. In 1846 28 missionaries including eight priests arrived in Fremantle. They were the first of hundreds of priests who came by ship from many countries to faithfully serve the people throughout the length and breadth of Western Australia.
