The family of four lived in Collie for four years before moving to Glen Iris, Bunbury where they ran Magamba Nursery for 23 years. Stan was the ABC's gardening expert for that time. In 1990 Stan and Jo retired to Lesmurdie. Their children both graduated from WA.
