Severina Sonego (married name Carniel) settled in Kelmscott in 1955 with her beloved (Tesoro) Francesco and children, Carla and James. Severina trained as a tailoress in Italy and used these skills working from home. Together with Francesco they were pioneers of Good Shepherd Parish Kelmscott.
