James Cargill (senior) arrived earlier on SCHAMHORST in 1911 with daughter Margaret & husband Harry Mabin. Family arriving in 1912 were Jane (James Senior's wife) and children Magdalene, David, Harry, Jane, Agnes, James (Jnr) & wife Mary & children Duncan & James. First wen to Wonnerup farming, unsuccessfully. Later settled in Mt Lawley.
