1927 - Vjeko Car (3 years old) arrived in Fremantle. Fished the waters off Fremantle with his father. Joined the army at 18. 1948 - visited town of birth Crikvenica, Croatia (former Yugoslavia), fell in love, married Marija, had 2 children. 1954 - Brings family to Fremantle. Returned to fishing. Had another child together 1964.
