Catherine left home (monemohill Shanagolden) by herself when a young woman, working to support herseld for many years first in Ireland then in england. Eventually she married Sam Calver ( 1934) and lived in Southampton. Sam died aged 47 in 1954. Subsequently she emigrated with her daughter to Perth.
