The Calleja family originally migrated to Perth in the late twenties. Felix's father Paul, brother Tony, cousin Joe migrated in 1927. Others migrated later - Brothers Joe (1948), Vincent (1950), Gerald (1952) and Sister Helen (1955). The Calleja family founded three Maltese Community organisations MAWA, MPBA and C-MON.
