Alice, Tom & 3 children arrived in Fremantle 8th January 1924 on the OSTERLEY. Travelled to a Group Settlement at Forrest Grove - a pile of tin sheets & no buildings. 6 years later a total disaster - the Depression. Travelled to Perth - settled in North Perth. Tom died from war injuries. Eldest son also died. Alice raised 12 children alone.
