Read their story

Jane Busby arrived in Albany with WC Clifton & family to work as the children's nurse in 1861. Jane married William Morgan Assistant Pilot Albany in 1863. They had 5 children. William died in 1874. Jane ran a boarding house in Albany until 1880 when she married James Collen Hicks. They lived at Mt Barker and built the 'Rookery'. Jane died in 1923 aged 91 years.
