Left her home of Prvic Luka, Dalmatia in 1926 to work in her uncle's market garden in Osborne Park. Married Luka Yabuka in 1927 & had 3 sons. Widowed after 4½ years & endured great hardship to survive & feed her family. Remarried in 1936 & had another son. Naturalised in 1944.
