Born in Cornwall, widowed twice. Migrated with son Harry and children from first marriage, Daisy, Lily and Herbert Redford. Elizabeth had a vibrant personality, and married Arthur Spice in 1912, she fostered children and ran the first store-tearooms in Muchea. They established first citrus orchard in Chittering.
