Was a prisoner of war in Germany from 1941-1947. Had no family contact regarding his existence during this time and was not until he reached Fremantle WA that he made contact with parents and siblings back in Croatia to inform them he was alive and well. Married Maria Cukrov in 1953 and is survived by her and 5 children.
