Eileen worked in London prior to emigrating. She married Thomas Godfrey in 1929 and they had eight children, 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. After farming for a few years they lived in Gnowangerup until Tom died in 1984. Eileen moved to Perth to be closer to her children. She died in 1998.
