Family of four - Norm 43 years, Avril 37 years, Susan 12 years & David 10 years travelled on the Australis and arrived in Western Australia on 13th December 1971. The family were sponsored by Landals Builders & subsequently bought one of their homes in Armadale. Norm worked for Alcoa Pinjarra until he retired in 1993. Avril worked for Perth Building Society, as it was called then (now Challenge Bank). The family sold their house in Armadale in 1988 & moved to Singleton, moving once more to a smaller property in Port Kennedy. Both children obtained university degress & are now married & living near Perth city. Norm & Avril have three grandsons.
