Nikola was born in Solta, Croatia. After migrating, he worked in farming & fishing. Nikola married Tonka in 1959 by proxy. He was in the Daily News as fishing on his wedding day. Tonka joined him in Oct 1959. They have 2 daughters - Diane & Rina.
