Arie and Bertha migrated arriving on the Johan Van Oldenbarnevelt. They arrived with 50 pounds after paying their own passage and bought a block of land in Riverton in 1954 and built the family home themselves. They are the proud parents of 8 children and grandparents of 15 grandchildren.
