Maria Bourboulas nee Conias. Daughter of Emmanuel and Fotini Conias (dec), sister of Angie Samios and sister to Jack Conias. Born in Chios, Greece 1949. Arrived in Fremantle, Australia on the boat AUSTRALIS in September 1965. I then settled with the family in Brisbane, Qld. Happily married to Peter Bourboulas, 1968. Mother of John, Manuel, Paul and Melissa. Grandmother of Maria and Peter. Even though I was born on the beautiful island of Chios, Greece, the love and kindness Australia has given to me and my growing family is why this land is my home. Thank you Australia and may you invite the nations of the world to call Australia home so others can be as fortunate as me and my family.
