Sydney, Gertrude and children, Evelyn (6) and Jack (4), first lived in a tent. Their first home was in West Guildford and later Shenton Park and Mt Hawthorn. Children born in Australia :- Stanley (b 1915 d 9 months), Kathlyn (b 1917) & Albert ( b 1921). Sydney and dons worked a goldmine at Moreys Find for several years.
