Read their story

Emigrated from Starigrad, Hvar, Yugoslavia ahead of his fiancee Zaninovic. With no work available locally he cut sugar cane in Queensland. Returning to Perth, he worked on the limestone wall at the Scarborough beachfront as a stone mason before starting a market garden in Balcatta. Ante passed away in 1967.
