Read their story

Liz met Hermann J Halter (who previously arrived on the 'Fairsea' in March 1954) as pen friends. They corresponded for a year everyday, then were engaged by mail. Liz came to Australia in Janurary 1965 to finally meet and marry her love. They were happily married for 41 years.
