Helen (aka Nellie) and George Blake went to a virgin block at Kukerin in 1921 with George's brother Jack. Two years later George died of pneumonia. Nellie worked at Glen Iris Hospital in Wagin then went to Lake Grace as a mother's help and married William Hickman in 1929.
