Domenico settled in Fremantle and married Maria Carmina in 1955. Domenico and Maria Carmina opened the second Italian restaurant (Mimmo's) in Fremantle opposite the Terminus Hotel in Pakenham Street. They also operated a 23 room boarding house from the same building.
