Julijs Bernsteins served his compulsory 2 year contract with the Army's 22nd Construction Squadron at Karrakatta. After contract, established own business and was self-employed till retirement in 1989. In 1954 married Maiguta Vilips. They are 2 sons, Indulis 30/07/1960 now systems architect with IBM. Aldis 16/11/1963 theatre props designer, masseur, entrepeneur.
