My father came to Melbourne in 1953 via Africa. He met and married my mother (a girl from country Victoria) in 1955. In 1956, my brother was born here. By 1958, the family moved back to The Netherlands where I was born in 1959. Our family migrated in 1970 and settled in Perth.

I just want to say hello to you. I'm currently in Perth visiting long time friends. Suddenly I remembered oom Gérard Berkhout from my early childhood. He was the cousin of my father Jack and ant Mary. So my grandmother was a Berkhout married to a Gassler.
I only had to google Berkhout Perth and found you, how funny.
I hope you are indeed my far away family.
