Matthew (Forster as he was known to everyone) went to Kulin with all his family and farmed in the area. In later years he moved to Napier via Albany where he farmed with his wife Barbara, children Margaret, Daphne, Neville, Ellen, Christine, Rosalie, Violet, William and Matthew.
