Stuart & his brother were both self-made individuals & through hard work & study after hours, rose to the position of Principal Architect at the WA Department of Commonwealth Works whilst living in Darlington. Stuart & Edith retired to Albany in 1963 & finally to Manjimup with their daughter's family until they passed away.
