born 1829 Westfalen Prussia. Father Philip. Mother Johanne Mertin..Charles went to Colchester England.He was a Doctor.arrived 1856-7. A brother came to Australia and settled.

Dr Charles Otter Gustave Becker of Colchester England - his son Gustave was a seaman and came to South Australia. Married Florence Douglas McLeod - Daughter of James Mcleod Esq; of "Darling River.N.S.W." & "Gaskmore Park" Torrens.

Gustave Becker - his second marriage was to Florence Douglas McLeod.10th.10.1900. Holy Trinity Adelaide.
All"Becker Family" - Very well known in Colchester.
Their home still stands in the main street- "a Gallery"
