The 1952 London smog led the Beahan family to emigrate. Francis worked at Skipper Bailey and Grace at St Mary's School. Their children - Terry, Michael, Peter, Denis, Peggie and Frank had careers in management, politics, medicine, advertising, travel and cartography. Michael became President of the Senate. There were 19 grandchildren.
