Billy, Mary & children, Annie, James & Molly's first home was a tent near Bridgetown. Billy was a railway sleeper hewer. They later moved into town next to St Pauls Anglican Church. Billy fought with the 16th Battalion in France. Wounded & captured at Bullecourt, he returned to Australia in 1919.
