At 18 yrs Henry (Harry) joined the Royal Artillery (11 yrs), fought in the Boer War, came to WA and took up 157 acres at East Brookton. Married Helena Heiser 1914 whom he knew in England. Children - Alfred James Leonard and Helena Beatrix (now Mitchell). Farm lost in the depression.
