Sept 1906 - July 1909 Farming in the Harvey District. July 1909 - May 1916 Took up construction work throughout the NW including Derby, Broome, Roebourne, Dorre and Bernier Islands, Beadon Point. May 1916 Appointed Assistant to Engineer NW in Perth office. April 1918 Appointed Shipping Master, Warfinger, Pearling Superintendant, Agent State Shipping Service and Public Works Supervisor Roebourne, Port Samson. July 1920 Transferred to Broome as Dep Harbour Master, Warfinger, Shipping Master, Public Works Supervisor and Lloyds Supervisor. July 1928 After 20 years in the Tropics transferred to Main Roads Dept at Narrogin. Sept 1928 Appointed District Engineer for Albany District.
