Family Baldwin dates back to pre 1825 Stafford, England. John, soldier and prison officer at Fremantle Prison married Mary McDonnell. Their daughter Mary Ann married John George Lewis and their son, Thomas Goerge married Emily Mable Miller in 1907. Their 1st daughter Myrtle Rose married Clyde Grant in 1931. Only child Constance married Joh Hoorn.

  • John Baldwin was born in 1809 in Newcastle, Staffordshire, and his Original Occupation before joining the Army in 1825, at age 16, was Shoemaker.
