Read their story

Emilia & Feliks Bakalarz & daughters, Janina & Irena, left Poland in 1939 for Siberia where Irena died aged six. Feliks, a soldier, died in Teheran in 1942. Emilia & Janina lived seven years in the 'Koja Camp' Uganda, arriving in Perth in 1950. Emilia died in 1960. Janina has children: Henryk & Melanja.
