Couldn't get 'Assisted Passage' after 2 years so came out 1st class. Met girl called Avril Russell who disembarked Fremantle. Used to hold hands on deck chairs whilst looking after my young sisters Veronica & Shirley

  • Came out to oz 31 years ago along with mother father and four children. Life was a struggle-soon lost a 19 year old brother in a motor bike accident and father died a year later. I don't know how I'd survive today without friend like April Russell ! Great
