At 11 years of age, her most vivid memories are arriving on a sunny day to Fremantle after 25 long days at sea. After not seeing her father for 2 years, she looked down from the boat to the wharf where he was waving up to them. He threw them Arnotts Devon Cream biscuits which she & her excited siblings ate with much appreciation! A new life was beginning.
