John & Frances Armstrong arrived in Fremantle with five sons & one daughter from England in November 1929, settling in Kalgoorlie. A second daughter was born in 1932. John worked in the gold mines until 1939 when he & four sons joined the military. The sons served in war zones.

  • I am almost certain Frances was my grandfathers sister. She was one of 12 children and my grandfather was the eldest.

  • I would be grateful if anyone has any information about this family. Frances is my grandfathers sister. I would love to know the name of the daughter born in Australia.
