Worked first 3 years in factory jobs & fishing. In 1953 graduated from the Railway Institute. Worked 35 years as Station Master WAGR in country WA. After retiring, began voluntary work for Italian community in Geraldton. Was bestowed the title of Cavaliere (Knight) of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Italy in 1993.
