George Anthony (Ivan George Rutherford) settled in Western Australia in 1962 after leaving Shoreham, England. He was accompanied by his wife Margaret (Peg) Kathleen (dec 2002) and their only child Margaret Alice Lucille (Langan nee Anthony). They travelled on the CANBERRA's second voyage, arriving in blistering heat. George immediately started work in his trade as a bricklayer on the Commonwealth Games Village.
