Armando's family joined him in January 1960 - his wife Lucia, son Giuseppe & daughter Nicolina (Lena). Armando worked in Gwalia & Leonora on the railway, then the Sons of Gwalia Mine. When the Gwalia mine closed down in 1964, he moved to Kalgoorlie. In 1966 the family moved to Yokine, Perth. Armando then worked as a grano worker.
