Alex & Cecilia first settled at Bassendean, then granted 6,900 acres Toodyay including 'Mt Anderson'. 1837 to Tasmania, later to Portland, Victoria. Returned Scotland 1854. Grandson Alexander Edwin 1835-1888, returned to North West 1865. In 1869 helped develop De Grey Station & later Newmarracarra Station, Champion Bay.
