Inger arrived with her daughters Ella, Margit and Klara to join husband Carl, a schooner captain engaged in the NW trade, who had preceded her in 1901. Carl was accidentally drowned at Port Hedland in 1913, and she subsequently married Rasmus Rasmussen, also a Norwegian schooner captain.
