Alexander (Alex) Aitken enlisted in AIF Aust. Corps. Sig. Coy. In 1916 and served overseas. In 1920 he returned to Western Australia on 'Themistocles' with his wife Jane Aitken (nee Martin died 1932) and 1 year old daughter Jean Stafford Aitken. He then settled in Koorda.
