24.4.1907 took up land at Youngs Siding and had postal agency from 1918. Appointed J.P. in 1920. Along with son Herbert purchased general store at Young's Siding in 1924. Upon Edgar's death, his sons Herbert and Ernest then Herbert and Percy continued the store until 1952.
