Frank Acton met and married Amy (nee Jones) in England while serving in the AIF. Frank was Australian and Amy was born in England. Owing to Amy's ill health they decided to move to Australia with their two daughters & Amy's sister, Nora. They lived at Banksiadale, near Dwellingup. Amy died eighteen months later, leaving Frank and her extended family to raise Daphne and Doris.
